Please read the pool rules before entering the pool. Rules are posted around the pool area.
Rules
Swimmers must swim to the nearest ladder to exit the diving area and may be required to perform a swim test before using the diving boards.
Non-trained toilet children or incontinent adults are allowed to use the pool when wearing a close-fitting diaper with a plastic covering that has elastic waist & legs, or a swim diaper (available for purchase at the front desk).
For the health and safety of all patrons, please use the restrooms for diaper changing at the diaper stations located in the restrooms and wash hands with soap and water following all visits to the restroom.
Swimmers must be attired in swimsuits, which must have linings and adequate coverage. Compression shorts may be worn under swimsuits, but no other undergarments may be worn in the water per health and safety guidelines.
Footwear may not be worn in swimming or wading areas.
Roughness, running, pushing others, dunking, splashing, snapping of towels, hanging on the separation/lane rope that divides the aquatic facility, and any other roughhousing actions are not permitted.
Spitting or blowing of the nose in the aquatic facility is not permitted.
Protect our water. If you have or have had diarrhea in the past two weeks, please do not use the aquatic facility.
Personal items not allowed in the pool area: Outside food items, coolers, gum, tobacco, alcohol, or glass containers of any kind.
Children 6 and under must have supervision aged 15 or older in the pool area.
The use of lifejackets is only allowed in designated areas (not allowed in the deep end or on the slides) & and adult must be within arms while swimming. No flotation devices or water wings.

Looking for a fun and sunny summer job in Rock Valley? Consider joining the public swimming pool team! We are currently accepting applications for a variety of positions, including lifeguards, swim instructors, aides, and more. Applications for the 2024 season are due on March 29.
Starting rate for lifeguards is $13 an hour.
Starting rate for Water Safety Instructors is $16 an hour.

Interested in being a lifeguard? Here are some available trainings for 2024. The City of Rock Valley will reimburse the cost of both courses with commitment to work at the Rock Valley Pool.
